Update from our 7/27/17 bargaining session.

Dear UChicago Faculty Forward Members:

Your Union bargaining team met with Management again on Thursday, July 27th to exchange non-economic proposals.

Earlier in the summer, we reached a tentative agreement that will make all appointments renewable and create paths to promotion. Part-timers who regularly teach 3 courses a year will receive an annual contract with the possibility of benefits. Full-timers will have presumption of renewal after their second appointment and longer contracts after subsequent renewals.
